Gallery Commentary
In Hamano's artworks, the blue lines intersect in various ways. As we look at the lines, we are gradually attracted to the order that exists. What comes into view in this order is something like Hamano's memory. The memory is taken into Hamano's mind by being connected with lines and dots, and is changed again through the printing plate and printed off on the paper. Hamano says that she is attracted to such indirect elements of prints.
The beautiful blue lines change their expression every day, giving us a new discovery. We hope you will take the time to look at Hamano's works, which will help you cherish your days.
Artist Comment
This is a work in which another person has trimmed a part of the work that I have created, and the trimmed part has been reprinted.
The other person trims without expecting to reprint it.
I created this work with an awareness of the indirect relationship of images: from myself to the work, from the work to others, and from others to the work.
